Intro To Makeup was designed by award-winning industry educator Justine Poniris to equip students with the basic level skills required to enter professional makeup industry. Our hands-on training is delivered by award-winning educators currently working within the industry. Students practice on each other throughout the course to help gain experience working on a variety of faces shapes, skin types and ages.  Additionally, students have the opportunity to gain industry work experience when available.

COURSE DURATION:  35 hours in total

Option 1:         5-week course, one day a week

Option 2:         3-week express course, two days a week

MAKEUP KITS AND BRUSHES: 

All makeup is supplied for student to use during the course, or they you can purchase your own kit through us.  Students must bring their own brushes or can purchase our Professional Brush Set through us for $225

MODULE 1: Skin Prep & Base

• Cleansing & Skin Preparation
• Health, Hygiene and client preparation
• Foundation Application
• Corrective concealer
• Colour wheel
• Powder application/contouring

MODULE 2: Eyes

• Eye shadow application Part 1
• Eye shadow application Part 2
• Eyeliner/mascara/brows
• Smokey Eyes
• Wing liner
• Glitter Makeup
• Working with colour

MODULE 3: Contouring, Lips & Lashes

• Contouring technique
• Lips colour placement
• Individual lash application
• Strip lash application

MODULE 4: Mastering Makeup  

• Mature makeup (model required if possible)
• Corporate
• Pre-teen look
• Editorial makeup working with creams to create a dewy makeup

MODULE 5: The Business of Beauty 

• Business notes and invoicing setting up a freelance business

A $400 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to secure your course enrolment.

Once course commences no refund will be issued on monies paid

PAYMENT PLAN OPTIONS FOR COURSE BALANCE:

OPTION 1 – Pay the balance of the course on week one of your course.

OPTION 2 – Pay via two weekly instalments across weeks 1 and 2 of your course.

All payments are deducted on Mondays. Payment plans are by CREDIT CARD ONLY. Once the course commences no refunds will be issued on monies paid.

Duration : Every Wednesday for 5 weeks

Times : 110am to 430pm

Monday 16th March 

Duration : Every Monday and Tuesday for 3 weeks

COURSE ACCREDITATION:

Students receive a Statement of Attainment from SHBBMUP002 Design and Apply Makeup, as well as a Intro To Makeup Certificate. CLICK HERE for more information.
