Our Certified Makeup Artist Course provides students with the skills and knowledge required to enter and thrive in the makeup industry.

Designed by award-winning industry educator Justine Poniris, this comprehensive course equips students with the technical skill to create numerous makeup styles, and includes advanced skills such as Air Brushing, Wedding and Editorial Makeup and Tattoo Covering.

Students in this course will gain industry work experience and will have the opportunity to learn from industry makeup artists demonstrating the latest trends in makeup straight from Fashion Week and other editorial work.

 

COURSE DURATION:  70 hours in total  $1995.00

 

Option 1:         10-week course, one day a week (weekends and Wednesdays )

Option 2:         5 week express course, two days a week (Monday & Tuesday)

MAKEUP KITS AND BRUSHES: 

Our Makeup Artist Essentials Pro Makeup Course is an all-inclusive course all makeup is supplied for student to use during the course $1995

Essentials kit the course fee is $225  – 15 x brush set , brush book  , brush cleaner , mixing pallet , 6x lash pack , mascara

MODULE 2: Eyes

• Eye shadow application Part 1
• Eye shadow application Part 2
• Eyeliner/mascara/brows

MODULE 3: Contouring, Lips & Lashes

• Contouring technique
• Lips colour placement
• Individual lash application
• Strip lash application
• Mature Makeup (Model if possible )

MODULE 4: Mastering The Art Of Colour    

• Working with colour
• Pigments and Glitter

MODULE 5: Smoky eyes  /Client consultations 

• Smoky eyes
• Editorial makeup working with creams to create a dewy makeup
• Client consultation -working in retail

MODULE 6: Mater the Art of Airbrushing 

• Starting airbrush techniques – strokes and foundation
• Airbrushing concealer, contour, highlighter, blusher and eyes
• Airbrush waterproof makeup
• Troubleshooting and maintenance
• Tattoo coverage & creating tattoos
• Advanced colour workshop
• Smokey eyes using different products to create textures and finishes
• Graphic eye makeup
• Creating the perfect cut crease makeup look

MODULE 7: Wedding Makeup   

• 1950’s Classic Glamour
• Multicultural wedding makeup
• Preparing for your clients’ wedding

MODULE 8: Editorial Makeup 

• Editorial looks for runway & photography
• Stage Glam makeups

MODULE 9:  Makeup Recreation Challenge 

• Instagram vs reality: explore the difference between makeup on screen vs real life
• Students are challenged to re-create makeup looks based on current social trends

MODULE 10 : The Business of Beauty 

• Setting up a freelance business
• Business notes and invoicing
• Costing your services for profitability
• Setting up your professional kit
• Business Insurance

Essentials  Kit $225.00

 

DEPOSIT: 

A $400 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to secure your course enrolment.

Once course commences no refund will be issued on monies paid

 

PAYMENT PLAN OPTIONS FOR COURSE BALANCE:

OPTION 1 – Pay the balance of the course on week one of your course.

OPTION 2 – Pay via four weekly instalments across weeks 1 and 4 of your course.

All payments are deducted on Mondays. Payment plans are by CREDIT CARD ONLY. Once the course commences no refunds will be issued on monies paid.
